Privacy policy

This page explains which personal data kchaitas.com processes, why, how long it keeps it, and how you can use your rights. The site is informational: it has no shopping cart, no user accounts and no login. The details you give are collected only by the contact form; the site also keeps a short record of your cookie choice.

Who is the data controller?

The data controller is Konstantinos Chaitas, owner of kchaitas.com. For anything about your data, you can write to kchaitas@iwebforyou.com.

What data does the contact form collect?

The form collects your name, your email address and your message. We use them only to read your message and reply to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to anyone who writes to us, together with your own request to get in touch.

Together with the message the site records the page and language it was sent from, the page that brought you there (the referrer), your browser's user agent and a hash of your IP address, from which the address itself cannot be recovered. We use them only to keep the form secure and to look into possible abuse.

The form details are stored in the site's database and reach the owner by email. They are kept for 365 days from the day they were sent and are then deleted. Backups may hold the data until the backups themselves expire.

The form has two measures against automated messages: a hidden field that visitors do not see, and Google reCAPTCHA verification. reCAPTCHA is loaded from Google and processes details of your browser, such as your IP address, to tell people from programs. Google processes it under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your details and we do not share them for advertising.

What data is collected when I book a video call?

If you book a video call, we ask for your name, your email address and, optionally, the topic you want to talk about. The booking is stored in the site's database with a reference code and a hash of your IP address, and it is shared with Microsoft 365 (Outlook calendar and Microsoft Teams), which sends you the meeting invitation and holds the appointment in the owner's calendar. Microsoft processes it under its own privacy policy. The booking form uses the same Google reCAPTCHA check as the contact form. We use these details only to hold the call and to let you cancel it from the link in the invitation. We do not use them for any other purpose.

What rights do I have over my data?

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you;
  • correct what is wrong;
  • have it erased, where there is no reason to keep it;
  • restrict processing and object to it;
  • receive your data in a portable form;
  • withdraw your consent to cookies at any time.

To use any of them, email kchaitas@iwebforyou.com. We will answer as soon as possible and within one month at the latest.

Where can I make a complaint?

If you believe the processing of your data breaches the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority at www.dpa.gr. We would be glad to sort it out directly with you first.

When does this policy change?

If something about the site changes in a way that affects your data, this page is updated and the last-updated date below changes. Last updated: 12 October 2026.
